剧情梗概：
《司法研习八人组》是以司法训练所为背景，一群来自四面八方、通过司法考试后，来到这里受训的学生；从司法训练所毕业后的学生，有的担任法官，有的担任检察官，有的则担任律师；全部都是未来的司法精英。但这八人组，却是这个班上的异类，之所以为八人组，是因为第一次的报告里，全班就这八人答错，被教官批为笨蛋八人组；也因而促成这八人，在往后的作业上，特别认真，一起讨论，一起渡过这训练的课程。这八人背景都不同，有粉领族枫由子（MIMURA饰），有不良少年羽佐间（小田切让饰），有大哥的女人森乃望（松雪泰子饰），有失势的政府官员桐原（堤真一饰），有被裁员的上班族崎田（北村总一郎饰），有家庭主妇黑泽（横山惠饰），有法官的女儿松永（奥菜惠饰），有花了十八年考司法考试的田家（我修院达也饰）；不同的背景，也让这八人共同分享生命不同的经验，也用不同的思维撞击出更精彩的想法。全剧当然是以法律为主轴，以教官所给的各种案例，经由八人组的讨论，也提供观众很多在法律上思考的方向，案例多半是较贴近生活的，不是那些重大刑案，也不是推理，就是在每个案例或主角上，以法律规章为主，再辅以人性的探讨，去给予每个案例最后「妥当」的判决。看这部戏时，刚开始有种很奇怪的感觉，堤真一、松雪泰子、小田切让等等，这些都是独当一面的一线演员，为何会配合八人组中以MIMURA为主的陪衬角色？这大概也是这部戏的一个宣传手法；在这部戏筹拍之时，富士电视台特别办了一个「月九主角徵选会」，而MIMURA即是由万人参选者中获得这个角色，也旋即在《司法研习八人组》中担任女主角，一个新人在这些硬底子演员当中，虽然演技稍嫌生涩，但能有如此待遇，可真是再幸运不过。由MIMURA饰演的枫由子，是一个凡事以人心为出发点的女孩子，她总会想到所有当事人的心情，发生事件时的环境因素等，也是从训练课程一开始，坚持讨论方式持续到最后的人，她的热诚当然影响到周遭这些人，不论是不良少年还是大姐头，或者是昔日得势的官员、意气风发的公司主管、优秀骄傲的女大学生，或者是全职的家庭主妇和花了十八年其间只打工清贫过日子立志要考上司法资格的人；大家都努力的通过训练，也选择了自己想从事的司法职务。司法虽是正义的代表，但是中间仍包括很多种复杂的因子，如何做出情理法兼顾的判决，或者站在什么立场为客户辩护，与执法者本身的个性、质素息息相关。看看八人组所讨论的判例，或者他们自身发生的事件问题，或许能提供观众以往对于司法不同的印象！
